JEE Main 2018 Exam :

JEE Main Application Form 2018 submission started from 1st December 2017 and it has been closed on 1st January 2018. The JEE Main 2018 Notification released in November 2017 at jeemain.nic.in and The JEE Main exam will be held on 8th April. Candidates are advised to first check the eligibility criteria and fill JEE Main 2018 Application Form on or before the last date via online mode. If you are not eligible as per the mentioned eligibility criteria then you will not be eligible to apply for it.
Latest Updates: JEE Main 2018 Application Form Submission closed now. The examination is set to be held on 8th April via offline mode and 15th & 16th April via online mode.
JEE Main Exam is the Joint Entrance Engineering test. This exam is conducted under the banner of the CBSE board and it is National level Undergraduate Engineering Test. Students from all over the country, who want to enroll in the engineering college are supposed to clear this exam. This exam is the entrance exam for both B.TECH /B.E and B.Arch. College. JEE Main 2018 Examhas two phases; Phase-1 is for those who want to get admission in B.TECH/B.E and phase-2 is for those who want to opt B.Arch. The mode of will be pen paper based or computer based test, it depends on student choice. JEE Main exam is nominated internationally as one of the toughest pre-engineering tests.
The CBSE is the central board of secondary education. It is established on 3rd November 1962. The headquarters of the CBSE board is in New Delhi, India. CBSE is affiliated by the union government of India and Ministry of Human resources development. The current chairman of CBSE board is Mr. Rakesh Kumar Chaturvedi. This organization has started NEET entrance exam.

JEE Main 2018 Eligibility Criteria :

Aspirants should check eligibility criteria before they apply for the main examination. JEE Main 2018 Eligibility Criteria is mentioned below to help you in the filling of application form JEE Main 2018.
Age limit:
  1. The aspirants must have born on or after the 1st October 1992 for General aspirants and for SC/ST/PWD it is 1st October 1987.
Educational Qualification
  1.  The aspirants should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent and pursuing aspirants is also eligible.
  2. The aspirants must have scored 50% in aggregate in of Physics, Chemistry & Math in 12th standard.
  3. The candidates must have selected minimum 5 subjects in 12th standard.
  4. The diploma holder (3 years) can also apply for JEE Main 2018.
There will be no weight for 12th marks in calculating the ranks in JEE Main examination 2018. For the candidates, qualify for admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs & such other CFTIs whose admission are based on JEE Main ranks, they should have the score of min. 75% (65% for reserved caste/categories) in 12th standard.
Nationality: The candidate should be from India only. Other refugee candidates are allowed if they have the permanent intention to settle in India.
*It is mandatory for aspirants to bring AADHAR CARD on the day of examination

Correction in JEE Mains 2018 Application Form: - CBSE board will release the notice regarding JEE Main 2018 Application Form correction in January. It will be scheduled from Jan to Feb 2018. It is the process, to make changes or to edit the application form. If any students had unintentionally made a mistake in filling in JEE Main 2018 Online Form. Usually, the mistakes done by students are uploading the documents (photograph, thumbprint, and signature) or spelling mistakes in the personal information. If any student has realized later, he can make changes in the application form by this process.

All the registered candidates are requested to read their application form again wisely. If they find any mistake/ unfilled column/spelling mistake/ incomplete or flawed, he/she can correct their particulars on the official website portal www.jeemain.nic.in. Payment for Correction in Application form

In order to make a correction in the application form, candidates have to pay the required fee through net banking/debit card/credit card or SBI E-Challan. The additional fee will be requested before correction, if applicable.

There are two possible corrections is to be done in the application form: Data correction and image correction.
IMAGE CORRECTION
  1.     Visit the official website of JEE main 2018
  2.     Select the notification named as "Remove Discrepancy in Uploaded Images”.
  3.     Now you have to enter the registration number and password of your application form.
  4.     Click the login button.
  5.     Now you can follow the steps in order to remove the incorrect image.
  6.     Save your edited application form.
    DATA CORRECTION
  1.     Visit the official website.
  2.     Select the notification named as "Application form, particulars correction” in the end of the page.
  3.     Now you have to enter the registration number and password of your application form.
  4.     Click the login button.
  5.     Now you can follow the steps in order to make correct changes in the data.

JEE Main 2018 Exam Pattern :

This examination will be conducted for two papers. Students who want to take admission in B.TECH/B.E they must apply for paper 1 and the one who want to take admission in B.Arch./Planning, they have to apply for paper 2. Aspirants can apply for both papers.
  • There will be 2 papers in JEE Main Exam 2018 - Paper I for engineering and Paper II for architecture.
  • Paper I consist of total 90 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
  • Paper II consists of total 82 questions- 30 questions from Math, 50 ques. from aptitude test and 2 ques. from drawing test.

2. Aptitude Test Syllabus:- 
PART 1:
Awareness of places, persons, buildings and materials, Texture and objects related to Architecture and building environment, Visualising 3D objects from 2D drawings, Visualising different sides of 3D objects, Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal), Analytical Reasoning.
PART 2:
Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, colour texture, building forms and elements, contrast and harmony. Drawing and designing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil, Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surface & volumes. Elevations and 3 D views of objects. Generation of Plan, Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shapes and forms, Sketching of scenes & activities from memory of urban scapes (public space, festivals, market, street scenes, recreational spaces, monuments, etc.), landscape (gardens, trees, river fronts, jungles, plants etc.) and rural life.
The candidates who wish to pursue B.Arch in the two IITs, namely, IIT Roorkee or IIT Kharagpur, have to appear for AAT (Aptitude Awareness Test).
3. AAT Syllabus:
Freehand Drawing: Simple drawing showing the entire object in its right proportion and form, relative location, surface texture, and details of its components in suitable scale, Ordinary domestic or everyday life utilizable objects like equipment, furniture, etc.
Geometrical Drawing: Activities in geometrical drawing containing lines, triangles, angles, quadrilaterals, circles , polygons, Study of plan (aerial view), elevation (side or front views) of simple solid objects like cones, prisms,  splayed surface holders, cylinders, cubes, etc.
Three-dimensional Perception: Perception and appreciation of 3D forms with building elements, volume colour, and orientation, Visualization through constituting objects in memory.
Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity: Composition activity with given elements, Context mapping, Creativity test through uncommon innovative check with recognizable objects, Logic of colour grouping.
Architectural Awareness: General awareness and interest of famous architectural creations – within the country and outside, places and celebrities (architects, designers etc.).
