The Union Public Selection Commission has released ESE Exam 2018 Notification on 27th September 2017. The link is was activated on 27th September to fill the application form online and it was closed on 23rd October. About UPSC ESE: Every year, UPSC conducts an All India level Engineering Service Exam called as IES (Indian Engineering Service). This exam is an entrance examination organised for technical graduates from engineering field to serve the government of India. IES 2018 Eligibility Criteria :

Eligibility Criteria:

• The applicant should be a resident of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan. Tibetan Refugees who came to India before 1st Jan 1962 are also eligible to apply.
• Any Indian origin person migrated from countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, and Eastern African Countries with an intention of permanently residing in India are also eligible to apply.
• For all the above-mentioned candidates from neighboring countries should hold an eligibility certificate from Government of India.

Educational Qualification

• The applicant should possess a degree in Engineering from a recognized University or Institute by the Government of India.
• The candidates who have attained M.sc degree with Electronics, Wireless Communications and Radio Physics as a special subject can apply for certain posts.

IES 2018 Age Limit :

The aspirant who wants to apply for IES 2018 Exam should lie in the age group of 21-30 years on 1st August of 2018 or the year of examination. Relaxation in age will be provided to reserved categories as per government norms.

• Government servants will be given a 5-year relaxation in upper age limit.
• For SC/ST 5 years relaxation will be provided
• For OBC 3 years relaxation will be provided
• The candidate who is found to be a subject of Jammu Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 will also be provided with an age relaxation of 5 years.
• Ex-Serviceman will be offered an age relaxation of 5 years
• Physically Handicapped and disabled will be given an age relaxation of 10 years.

IES ESE 2018 Application From :

The application procedure is quite similar as of other forms. The candidate has to visit the official website to apply for IES exam 2018. Before filling the form go through all the details carefully to avoid a mistake. Students have to complete Part 1 registration followed by Part II. Write In, all the important data then upload documents, photograph, signature followed by fee payment. And at last, submit the form and keep registration number or application number with you for future reference. • Now fill in all the left information in second part of registration.
• In this part first, you have to make the online payment of application fees through any online payment mode.
• You have to upload a scanned copy of your photograph and signature.
• Select the exam centers
• Finally, agree to the declaration and submit the form

IES ESE 2018 Application Fee :

While filling the UPSC ESE 2018 Application Form, the application Fee payment can be done through any online mode like Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, Pay-in-Slip, etc. from a State Bank of India which is a recognised bank by the government of India. The Reserved Category students like SC/ST/PH and Female candidates are exempted from fee payment. While other candidates belonging to Gen/OBC have to pay Rs. 200 as application fee. No money will be refunded in case of any mishappening during the transaction.

IES ESE 2018 Exam Pattern :

IES 2018 exam basically includes Objective Type General Studies & Engineering Aptitude, Engineering Discipline in the Prelims Exam while in Mains Examination it will consist of two conventional type paper of Engineering Discipline. Prelims will consist of two papers of 200 marks and 300 marks. Similarly, Mains will also comprise of two papers of 300 marks each. The candidates who’ll qualify in the preliminary test will have to give the Mains test and those who clear this Mains will be further called for Personality Test process. IES 2018 Selection Procedure :

IES ESE 2018 Selection Procedure comprises of two-staged processes. Stage 1st is also known as Preliminary Examination followed by Stage 2 i.e. Mains Examination and at last Stage 3 is conducted called the Personality Test. The candidates who qualify stage I are eligible for the Stage II process. And the score obtained in the Mains examination will determine the qualification of students for the personality test on the basis of merit list. The final result will be declared after the analysis of reports or marks obtained in the final round or an aggregate of all the three rounds will be judged to form the final merit list. Three stages involved are

• Preliminary Examination
• Mains Examination
• Personality Test

IES/ESE 2018 Pay Scale: - All the candidates who’ll qualify all the three examinations and will make way through this three-staged process will be offered a Basic pay of Rs. 15,600 along with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 with added incentives like DA, HRA etc. The gross amount in total would be Rs. 47,000 and soon it's going to be 2.26 times due to 7th pay commission.

IES Admit Card 2018 :

After the submission of UPSC IES 2018 Application Form, candidates are searching for admit card. The IES Preliminary exam admit card 2018 has been released on 11th December 2017. Probably the IES mains admit card will be released in June 2018. The admit card is the important document. It is mandatory to bring to the exam center on the day of examination. The e- admit card has all the relevant details like Name, exam center name, roll number, etc. of the candidate and exam. IES Cut Off 2018 :

The IES exam 2018 cutoff marks for the Preliminary stage will be disclosed at the time of result declaration for IES 2018 Preliminary exam. We can estimate that this year the IES exam 2018 exam cut off can be a range in between 180-300 for all the fields. The cutoff marks are the minimum marks which is mandatory to secure in the exam. Candidates have to get more marks than the cutoff to get shortlisted for the IES mains exams. The Candidates who will not get more or equal marks then the cut off then he/she will get disqualified from the mains exam. The cut off marks are different for all the exams. As it is decided by the total number of student appeared, average percentages of passing, etc. The last round is the Personality Interview round. All the cut offs scores will be published on the official website as the results declared.

IES Result 2018 :

UPSC IES prelims exam conducted on 7th January 2018 and IES / ESE Mains Exam will be held on 1st July 2018. The IES Prelims Result 2018 will be declared on the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in.
