Educational Qualification- Aspirants must have completed 12th Standard or equivalent degree from a recognized Board or University. - In the Stenographer exam, there will be one Online test and skill test in Stenography.
- The Online question papers consist of three section like - General Awareness, English Language and Comprehension and General intelligence and reasoning

SSC Stenographer Skill Test 2018:
- The stenographer skill test will be organized at the commission's regional/sub-regional offices or other centres it will be decided by the SSC commission.
- Only those candidates will be eligible for the stenography skill test who will qualify in the Online test. The applicants will be given one dictation for total 10 minutes in Hindi/English at the speed of 100 w.p.m for the stenographer grade 'C' posts and for stenographer grade 'D' posts it is 80 w.p.m speed.
- At the time exam preparation, candidates should also practice the speed of Hindi and English dictation speed.
SSC Steno 2018 Selection Procedure :
SSC Stenographer Grade 'C' and Grade 'D' Posts 2018 is one of the most prestigious exams. In the SSC Stenographer Grade 'C' and Grade 'D' posts, candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Online test examination and skill test. The minimum qualifying exam marks of the Online test will be decided by the SSC. In case the applicants get the equal marks then the candidates will be selected on the basis of age factor. Give the priority to the older age people.
In the Stenographer Online test exam time duration will be 2 hours for general candidates and for visually handicapped candidates the total time duration will be 2 hours and 40 minutes. The SSC department gives the extra 40 minute to the visually handicapped candidates.
In case, more than one candidates achieve equal aggregate marks, then tie will be resolved by the given below process-
- Check the Date of Birth of the candidates, older applicants gives the first priority.
- Select the candidates as per the marks in the Online exam. Those candidates who get the higher marks they get the higher placed.
- Applicants placed higher as per the alphabetical order in the first name. According to the alphabetical name order candidates can get priority.
Those candidates who have successfully cleared the Online test and fulfil the cut off marks criteria that are decided by the SSC then the candidates are eligible for the stenographer skill test. Now, the applicants will have to appear in skill test. Typing test speed 80 wpm in Hindi and 100 wpm in English. Final selection will be based on the Online test and skill test. After the Online exam, candidates should have to start the skill test exam preparation.
SSC Stenographer Admit card 2018 :
Candidates who will successfully submit SSC Stenographer 2018 Application Form will be able to check their exam centre and exam date through hall ticket which will be generated by the organizing authorities. SSC Stenographer 2018 Admit Card will be released before 10 to 15 days of examination on the official website. The admit card will be available to download by registration number and DOB.
